It is becoming quite apparent that Mr. Obama is making a major attempt to follow through on all his campaign rhetoric and that is scary!  Specially with the Reid/Pelosi tandem gleefully pushing the liberal agenda with wild abandon!  The fiscal consequences of these very policies and decisions will prove to be the catastrophe that Mr. Obama tells us he wants to avert.  I guess in their minds whatever the individual does, the government can do better - whether good or bad!  The economic meltdown has to a large extent been precipitated by bad decisions made by individuals (used in the broader term to include legal entities such as corporations) who behaved in a fiscally irresponsible manner these last many years - borrowed more than they could afford etc.  Now it's the government's turn to do the same!  History is repleat with nations that have "bust the bank" and decended into irrelevance (UK in the 1960's and 1970's) or simply gone bankrupt (Argentina in the 1980's and 1990's) - all this while following a liberal socialist agenda and creating bloated inefficient government institutions to take care of society's needs while taxing all initiative and innovation out of the economy.  I cannot believe that we can sit back and watch history repeat itself in this country!
